Goa Lawah

        About 43 kilometres east of Denpasar, one of the most sacred temples in. Bali, which was built in the 11th century by the high priest " Empu Kuturan". The Goa Lawah Temple or the Bat Cave name comes from the fact that this well-built blessed complex rises right facing a cave where factually thousands of bats hang serenely from its walls, slumbering until the time comes to take off in fight, normally at night, to go look for good.

        The cave is part of a temple that is said to lead all the way to Besakih but it's unlikely that anyone would be interested in investigating.
